I'm new to the forum and was hoping for some advice or shared knowledge on the this car:

I have viewed the car, called the garage that did the work and met the owner, and everything seems fine. My only concern is I've owned German cars all my life and this is a new area for me. I really like the car, just don't want to end up with a lemon. Any advice on what to look for or on the car would be great.

hi if your not sure, i would recommend getting a independant check like from the AA or RAC

The 2.5 engines have issues associated with them which you should look up.

 

other then that check the servicing, brake and tyre wear etc..

The work completed should mean no issues with ringland failure. 340 bhp is not stressing anything. See if the receipts for the work are there to get some reassurance.

Check the rear arches for any sign of rust starting as the lip attracts dirt which just sits there.
