Tom.S92 Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Hi guys, My first post here and hopefully not my last. I currently own a 56 SEAT Leon FR PD170 and have recently decided I don't need/want a diesel anymore and would prefer something with a pit more poke! I've decided to go for a Subaru Impreza WRX as the title states, and I would be really grateful if any of you could help me with a few questions. I'm looking at getting a 2003, or around about that age, model for under £4000 so I'm assuming I will be looking at some high milers! My first question is, is there anything I should know before buying? Anything to look out for? Common problems with the blob/bug eye etc. If I aim for a full service history would I be looking at, hopefully, purchasing myself a reliable car? What mileage do certain big jobs, i.e, cambelt etc, need changing? Is a model with over 100,000 miles on the clock just a problem waiting to happen? If you can answer all, just 1 or any of the above questions and can think of any other info that would be useful to me when buying/looking for a WRX I would be extremely grateful. Thanks in advance guys!
