I replaced my gearbox clutch for a new one a fraternity it failed to disengage, it works fine after repair but it seems there is oil burning  on the excaust I smell it after driving 15 mins , is this leaking  or is it they replaced the clutch but failed to clean up the spillage from before the repair which I suspect.

I suspect they repaired it but failed to clean up the spill before the fix if this is case how can I clean it up

It should burn off after a few days... but i would maybe have a look, could be your rocker cover gasket leaking. They are prone to going, especially on the drivers side due to heat from the exhaust

If they have tilted the box to remove it it could have just leaked out where the propshaft goes into it, or the seal has gone, (mine did the same after new clutch)

A new seal is only 8 quid and a 20 min job,

I'd wipe the oil off the exhaust and see of it comes back,

Find the leak or fresh oil, stick your finger in it and give that a sniff. Determine if it's engine or gearbox oil. Where is the leak?
