Another thought, should i heat wrap the header? If so what wrap is good and should i do this before it is fitted?

Standard headers normally have heatsheilds attached but if they've been removed I'd heat wrap them . As they're very close to the sump and oil filter , plus it helps keep bay temps down.

I normally use the titanium wrap with stainless steel cable ties , it's just off ebay (can't remember the seller )

They're a lot easier to wrap off [emoji106]

Import car parts for genuine gaskets .

Manifold to head gasket × 2

And manifold to up pipe x1

If it's not broke .....upgrade it 😊

Sounds more like a spun bearing to me :/ glad it was something simple go RCM headers and magma heat wrap top quality and the heat wrap is defo worth it cos once you go tubular headers the heat that is generated is mental
