Hi can anyone tell me if its straight forwards to remove the full aircon system on a 08 hatch.is it just get it degas n remove the part.is their any pipes or anything that needs cappin off.thanks

Never use it as soon as light pops on to say air cons on i turn it off.i have drove for 30 year with out aircon so for the 2 weeks we get sun a year i can manage with windows open lol am looking to shed weight off car and also with out it on i can root my intercooler piping diffrent.

dont think my hatch will do much more power with out blowin something its at 320 at minute.

Fixed :D


Stripped mine out as it was leaking. Minor weight save but every little helps. And a free upgrade. One less belt for the engine to drive too. Tiny minimal effect on mpg and power delivery 😂 F1 teams spend millions shaving off grams so I reckon taking air-con out is equivalent of a million dollar mod.
