Hi all, I have an Impreza 1998 194k with an overheat problem! Was only overheating when pushed hard. Changed thermostat and now does it at normal speeds. Did a gases present test and it came up clear. Any ideas on a simple fix? Going to fix and the sell on.

Does the cooling fan come on?

Does it overheat in traffic?

Are you losing any coolant?

What sort of thermostat was used? Subarus prefer own-brand.

Have you had a look to see what condition the radiator is in?
