Greenback
Hey up I picked one up it's a 1998 turbo 2000 but so I'm told a wrx motor , can anyone tell me what difference the wrx motor is ?? So I'm also told the car has all the ancillarys from the original motor , so my plan was to change pipe for something with a bit of sound but not to much , some advice on that please as in what are options ??? Maybe secondhand ?? after that I need some advice on what's the best to pull a bit more punch .. As a foot note the cars still got original ecu the bloke said !! Do I need to change this ? Cool guys and thanks for the advice in advance
Miggs
i have a uk turbo 2000, i was also into my my vag until recently, the wife still has a mk4 golf, i have a good friend from mossley he now lives just on the boarder in stalybridge, he was into his vag also and has since bought a bmw and a focus st mods wise a decat is a good option to free the gasses, a version 4 can be mapped iirc, if you check the turbo if it's a wrx i believe they used the td05 unit whereas the uk 2000's used the o4, the o4 is good for about 300bhp whereas the 05 is about 450, andrew carr is a well know mapper, he does a live map to suit your driving, he takes you out with him in the passenger seats and gives you instructions and you give him the feedback untill your happy with the way it go's, also most parts can be bought from a subie specialist not too far from me called cams Cams Brian Coward 01254 689 994 07931 211 871 Unit 12 Brook Mill Complex Branch Road Blackburn BB3 0PR
