Hi guys

 

sorry to bring this up again but which oil filter would be better. 

The genuine black one from icp for £9.72

or a good branded one from Euro's Bosch/Mann for about £6. 

I'm planning on changing oil and oil filter every 6 months.

 

since I've owned the car (1year) it's had two changes and both times used the more expensive genuine black filter.

your thoughts?

Black ones seem to have the best rep if you read the oem blue vs black argument but at the end of the day they are both genuine parts

Agreed  don't bother with the 'good branded' alternatives. It's a few quid extra well spent 👍
