moshe_levy
hello i want to install auto trans oil cooler with fan,now i want to take the signal from the radiator fan to the cooler fan so the cooler fan will work when the rad fan works. my quastion is which rad fan should i take the signal. they both works together, does one works only when AC is on,there is high and low spin? thanks. stants
It's the one on the left as you look at it I think, that's the fan you want to connect, like you say other one on works when the a.c. is operational. You may be better getting a thermostatically controlled cooler installed Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
moshe_levy
the passenger side right? but i think that both of them workes when the thermostat open...? so what's the function of each one? Sent from my SM-G610F using Tapatalk
Jay762
as above have it activated dependant on the temp of the oil not the temp of your water, your tranny oil may be working harder than your rad coolant
moshe_levy
ok so there is on the way oil cooler with fan and hayden thermostat, now my quastion is how do i know it's working well? do i have to put oil temp gauge? if i do , where can i attach it ,is it will work if i take signal from the thermostat to the gauge,or i have to put another thrmo unit for the gauge? thanks Sent from my SM-G610F using Tapatalk
stants
You'll have to add an oil temp gauge, normally it goes under the bung above the no3 cylinder, you should see the oil temp rising to operating temp then once it hits what ever the oil cooler stat is programmed to open at it should stay at a constant temperature Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

stants
Ah ok do you have a sandwich plate that goes inbetween the oil filter and the modine ? Normally they have places to put a temp sensor in Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
moshe_levy
i have internal filter, but i have to check may be there is plate where the outer filter (other models) should be Sent from my SM-G610F using Tapatalk
moshe_levy
if i will put the sender in the inner line that goes from the trans to the cooler or the outer line never mind, using this T and fitting hose does the sender will not block the oil from moving inside the T, it looks like the sender will screw into the T and block the all place from oil to pass am i wrong? stants
Is this the type of sender you have ? If so it should only screw in about half way leaving the tip to sit in the flow Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

moshe_levy
ok i installed today the cooler and the fan with hyden thermostat, that goes into the cooler and the AC consender and into the radiator. i started the car and ran it for 1 hour and the fan didn't work. when i do a short on the thermostat terminals it works. i took the sensor into hot water and it works. so why it did not work on the car? hope i was clear anough Sent from my SM-G610F using Tapatalk
