Hi guys. A good friend of mine has got himself a 1996 import wrx on a whim.

Its near stock at the moment (decat and fmic)

He wants more power (who doesnt) and has asked if i can map it for him (i usually tune vw 1.8t for friends) Now after a brief google search it looks like there are (or used to me) Solder on daughter boards and chips. Does anyone know somewhere that still sell these? Or any used ones. Im not here to have a "generic vs custom" depate just a little bit of info.

Its a z4 ecu and i have attached pics.

Thanks in advance

You can buy esl daughter boards direct from andy stevens @ enduring solutions limited .

I know you didn't want a generic chip debate but my advice would be to use esl or a stand alone apexi then bespoke map . Due to the decat and fmic being already fitted , As the aggressive timing used by "chips" wouldn't allow for the changes if airflow caused by the mods and there's no way to adjust to compensate for the mods .
