I'm seeing how much i can get out of the last portion of a tank before the light comes on. Trouble is i've been driving around all day with it on zero and the light hasn't come on.

I know the gauge may read slightly out, i just don't want to look like a tit when i've run out as i've been waiting for a light that may not be there :)

I've had mine come on before it's about bang on with the bottom line when mine came on and still got 30 miles to the petrol station. not sure how much more I could have gone but I changed my fuel filter after that :)

No, had to go to ikea today and that's stressfull enough without the worry of fuel gauge roulette. 20L took it to back over half full so i suspect my gauge is a little out

Ouch Ikea :(  rather you then me. Yeah sounds like it I think the fozzers have a 60ltr tank. and from what I can see it leave's 9 ltrs in the tank before the light comes on as a reserve

Sounds about right put about 45ltrs in last week and filled it and it wasn't empty so 50 + 10ltr reserve ?

Still hasn't answered my original question though! Even took a torch out and shone it into the dash panel to see if i could see an icon haha. I guess it must have as there is no red portion ro the fuel gauge.

Maybe i'll try sometime and stick a jerry van in the boot just in case

As long as it's on the way to work when it runs out other wise you're wasting everyone's time :)

Cheers mate, where abouts is it located ? I've never seen it does it illuminate on start up ? If so may be a bulb out or something
