4llsopp
Ok i have a 2002 WRX STi Prodive Type UK which has seen better days. The body work has afew knocks and scrapes etc and on friday a rattle/vibration started. Just had someone look at it and they say the turbo is on its way out :( They phoned up to get a quote on a new turbo and was told none are kept in stock and it would be well over £1000 He is getting a quote to have the turbo repaired which he should get tomorrow. How much would the car be worth to sell as spares with a poorly turbo? trying to decide if its worth selling as spares as it is or getting the turbo done. Has 107k on the clock
Tidgy
where did you get the turbo price from? VF35's are pretty common second hand and will be darn sight cheaper
4llsopp
not sure where they phoned originally.

savage bulldogs
It does depend on rust , general condition , correct diagonis of fault and if the cambelt and clutch are due soon .But Id guess at £3k to £4k Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

savage bulldogs
Yeah as long as its definitely turbo and not engine issues . If it was standard , mint bodywork and good condition its probably worth £6k ish Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
4llsopp
its defo the turbo. the car is completely standard from the prodrive factory if i had the room time and experience i would consider breaking it myself. Will probably have it on eBay and see what happens
