Hi,

Sorry if this has already been asked but does my Subaru BRZ need super unleaded? The dealership basically said "I would if it was mine" and no one can seem to give me a straight answer.

I know it's ideal, but is it totally necessary?

Mine is a facelift 2017 model if that is relevant.

Thanks,

Corey.

"Need" then the answer is no. But it would be a great benefit for the engine, for power and for mpg if you did use premium fuel. I would certainly recommend it.

Its not totally necessary standard but if you had it mapped to a specific grade fuel then you would have to keep it on that grade.

I'm using it for my 2012 BRZ. I think it's always better for engine.

It says in the manual you should use it. Why would you go against what the manual says?
