Running out of ideas.

Can't get car to run right.

Code 22 keeps coming up and replaced knock sensor with no joy.

Tried resetting computer but still code 22 and engine check light is on constantly.

Ideas please x

Did you replace the knock sensor in exactly the same orientation as the old one ? How tight did you do it up & did you clean the block surface before 're installing it ?
They are a very sensitive to overtightening, only needs about 5-10ftlbs and if they don't go in correctly it won't work,

No not same ... I expect I have put it in too tight. Ok I will remove and refit and go from there

The loom connector is specifically bent to sit on top of the block against a little lip that's there it's a right pain in the !Removed! to be honest [emoji23] it comes off at about 45° from looking at the centre of the engine block,

 

If you've murdered it up there's a chance you've cracked the casing which would render it dead, just be super careful, when you do it back up again

 

It's essentially only a mini microphone
