Hi, looking to buy a 2010 diesel Forrester, 92,000 on the clock

Service history etc, but how do I spot any potential problems, heard nightmares about , cranks etc, so was this resolved or still problem. Where is the engine number stamped on the block.

Thanks in advance for any helpful advice, as on a budget and don't want to buy the proverbial lemon at first go.

There do seem to be some issues around that time but I don't know enough about it to comment properly.

Does it have to be a diesel as dependant on driving requirements a petrol option can be the same or better financially
