GC8 Rear Light Seal

Anyone know what you use for this? It’s a black tacky substance that never fully dries. The one that’s between the light and the bodywork not the light itself BTW.

I’ve heard some people use some heavy duty sealant but I don’t want to make them that hard to remove so want to use the proper stuff. Any ideas what it is?
