Hi- I've been trying to buy some roof rails for an 09 Forester but they are not supplied as accessories, just factory fitted options. Has anyone fitted these to their forester- if so is it relatively straight forward? Also any idea where I can acquire some?

Hi,  my local dealer says they are available as dealer aftermarket fit.

There is a thread on this somewhere...

 

As I remember the answer is yes you can buy them but as it requires you pulling your headlining off to fit them the dealers were saying it was an original fit option only.

 

The price in the UK for the items though was the thick end of £1000

 

We found a US site that sells them for significantly less so even with import tax it would still be a cheaper option

Yeah I remember had a few now asking, yet to see any cheap or even on Ebay being sold as of yet. But I don't look everyday ;)
