Dino V Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Hi guys. Anyone experience revs hanging at around 1300 rpm when coasting or when sat in stop start traffic once the car is warm? Revs eventually drop when car is stopped but noticing them hang when coasting and not pressing on the accelerator or when slowly crawling in traffic.
David in Hampshire Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 When did you last check the ATF?
Jay762 Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 after recently resetting my ECU the auto trans is a lot smoother and the idle revs are lower - may want to try that as an easy first option, something tat can be done at home with a laptop and cable?
Dino V Posted November 25, 2018 Author Posted November 25, 2018 Thanks both. It’s interesting as I approached Subaru and they responded to say it’s programmed to hold revs under certain driving conditions and for exhaust emission control.
