Turbo stall? Is it BOV

Hi guys just a question to see if anyone else has had this. My car is lurching foward occasionally on full chat is this possibly the Bailey bov? Im getting it removed shortly anyway just thought id ask though

has it been mapped? sounds like it may be hitting boost cut, aka overboosting. cause could be any number of things.

Ive not had it mapped yet mate and it does have a sports cat aswell so might be overboosting. Would the ecu cut the boost in this case?

Just waiting on a hose coming from subaru for oem recirc valve then its in for mapping 👍

yes could well be that, although it's normaly affected by cold weather. Ecu has a default o feck, that aint right saftey cut, first it pulls back boost, second it pulls back fuel which feels like you hit a brick wall.

 

Watch out for mappers removing these saftey features when you do have it mapped, proper dodgy thing to do but i know a few mappers who do it.

Thanks for that man thats good to know. Hitting a brickwall is exactly how it felt spot on there

I will definitely have a talk with the mapper before hand and make sure that stays in, want to make sure he doesn't go for max boost anyway .
