Gambit
I would have a look under the front seats 1st. Sounds like a loose connection on one of the modules. I know some are under the seat's, and they have been a common problem :(

Nick
got that elm 327 today and used dash command and it didn't work. it said it was a Subaru legacy but nothing else. so I loaded torque and didn't work either. so then tried it on my other cars and it worked. Back to the drawing board. Do you know of any other one that work
Gambit
Strange it didn't work with the Subaru its same year as one of mine and it works fine :( And it's the only one I have used not sure unless someone else on here has used something other then what you have listed. Gambit
I know there is a trick where you use 3.3ohm resistor that people use for aftermarket steering wheels. Did you have a look under your seat or the passenger seat at the modules and wires ? I've just found this I never knew you could do this with the Subaru after 2001, but might help you if you want to try it Also came across this not sure if you can get them in the UK or how well they work http://www.rallysportdirect.com/Splash-Air-Bag-Light-Fix-Subaru-Mitsubishi
Nick
I have some resistors already to use, just want a fault code reader before I do anything else

Nick
Hope it does hide it. Pulled off the air box also and stuck a cone filter straight onto inlet for the time being. The filter in the box was covered in oil????
