kiwi
Hi. I'm keen to replace timing belt ('02 Forester 2.0 non-T SG 91k miles, changed already about 23k due to interval). I'm certainly no mechanic and so wonder if it's possible for me? and would welcome some advice. Mechanic told me in no uncertain terms to not touch it ! Most I've done is very basic maintenance and recent radiator, air con cond replacement. Any advice would be great. Cheers. kiwi
Jay762
Everyone has to start somewhere - The major challenge will be ensuring you dont screw up the timing but there are videos online to sort that. I dont think you have the belt guide on a 2.0NA so no chance of you rubbing your belt away due to incorrect postioning. Take your time and take photos along the way
Impreza abuser
Lots of tipex to mark the crank pulley and cam wheels. Just need to drain and remove the radiator for access
