Bit embarrassing but can someone tell me what position the lever goes to for high or low in my legacy????

I will admit it I'm not sure myself mate. With not having a legacy hopefully one of the other members will be able to let you know. 

thought it was always high unless you are in slippery conditions.

pretty sure it stays in high for normal use - what you should find if you put it in low is the same as mountain bike in low gear lots of revs but very low speed

True I could try that but didn't want to touch it until I understood how and when to use it. ie when stationer, in gear etc

stationary would be my call - don't want any unnecessary grinding :P

Am I thinking about the same sort of grinding here or is it wishful thinking  :P  :D
