Looking at A 2006 wrx Sti pro drive or forester sti I’ve been researching both respectively and was wondering if there is anything I need to look for or things to stay clear of also if anyone knows any Subaru specialist in the Lancashire area any advise would be massively appreciated

David Wilkinson
Hi mate I know others will be able to give better advice but from my experience it’s important to get information on the service intervals and what grade of oil has been used, 5w40 is usually a decent start for a turbo Subaru preferably with a genuine black jdm oil filter. Also has it been run on 99ron fuel (Tesco momentum or Shell V-power) they contain anti knock agents that are quite vital. from my experience the rear arches are important to check for any signs of rust as it’s important to nip it in the bud before it becomes a big job. That’s a start at least. I hope that’s helpful
