mnpearson
Hello! I'm thinking of buying my first Subaru, a Legacy 2010, 2.0D SE Nav Plus, 150bhp (UK) I'm coming from a predominantly Fiat and Vauxhall background, so I'm used to my fair share of repair bills! Im just looking for pointers really, anything to look out for, known issues, etc. Thanks in advance!
AndyLevorg
I have just changed from an Insignia Tourer Elite to a Levorg. The car is new so as you would expect no bills as yet. However I'm loving having a Subaru. There is just something about it and having something different.
mnpearson
Weirdly I currently have an Insignia Tourer Elite too! I know what you mean, I've always loved the look of Subarus, it's the off-road capability and the looks that have swung it for me
stuartie
Hello and welcome, unfortunately the subaru diesel engine seems to be a bit of a plum really with loads of failures main one being the crankshaft, they did revise the crank on later models but it's still not a very good power unit and the cost to repair seems uneconomical as there are loads of scoob diesels out there for spare or repair with failed engines, if I were you I would go for a petrol model as they are so much more reliable
