Hi everyone!

I am a newbie when it comes to Subarus. I am looking to buy a used diesel car and during my search I found this amazing looking 2.0 D RS Impreza (2010/10 EUR5). I have heard all the problems about Boxer Diesel engines, but I am wondering if there were improvements made with this model.

Sorry it is an Impreza Exclusive

Hi Subaru do not make a decent diesel unit - much as I love the brand, earlier model issues now appear to be replaced by later model issues of a different type.

    Thank you for our reply! Can you give me some examples of the issues with this model? Does the crankshaft still crack?
