OK so first thanks for any help. 

I have  a classic beetle where 7 years ago I put a classic suabru na engine in. 

Since then I have work on car where I have run 14.007 1/4 mile with nitrous. 

I'm after some assistance in buying the correct / decent programmable ecu that will work well with this engine and loom. 

There seems to be so many cheap ish ones  but no idea if they will work. 

Does anyone recommend a brand or company. Do to custom setup needs to be one that can programmed by me. Not just a chip or mapped ecu.

try contacting ESL - Enduring Solutions limited in Cambridge, they may be able to help with an ECU mod which will support you doing your own tuning.... Other than that I would look at the more expensive Link ECU option which a capable piece of kit
