My only fob has, this weekend, given up unlocking my UK turbo. Its a GT system (Getronics?) I think they were Italian and aren't in business anymore.

I'm thinking that my best option is to get a mobile auto electrician out to strip out the old system and replace it with a new one. I've had a look back through about 7 years of threads for this question coming up but it hasn't come in that time.

Is there anything to choose between the alarm systems available? As long as it is Thatcham category 1 will it do the job and be equal in the eyes of insurers? Any system recommendations please?
