How reliable are the outbacks?

Featured Replies

I couldn't find a thread for outback reliability generally.

I've read a lot about problems about foresters here and specifically the diesel boxer. So what about outbacks? And the petrol outbacks?

The thread below seems to give some good details on Outback reliability. Overall I would say the petrol Outbacks should be more reliable than the diesels, i.e. no DPF or turbo to worry about, but I'd say it's more down to how it's been looked after by the previous owner(s).

No issues with mine so far, touch wood!
