DaveT
Hi everyone, just joined the forum to, hopefully, get some technical help. We have owned our 2005 Forester XT auto for a few years now - all good so far, but starting to accept that I will have to start to learn how to fix it myself. Which is fine - I have a small collection of much older cars which take up lots of my time already. I will post my technical queries elsewhere on the forum all the best Dave

Jay762
Wotcha and welcome Dave - if you are already maintaining some older cars the Fozzie should be no problem for you
DaveT
thanks for the welcome> today i managed to read the OBD codes and cancel - 0410 and 1410 - both linked to the apparently well known problems with corrosion in the secondary air pump and solenoids. car then drove 60 miles without any warning lights. is there such a thing as a workshop manual or even just a circuit diagram for my forester? also a step by step guide from zero knowledge at all, to sort out the stuck valves into a suitable configuration, isolate the air pump and modify the ECU fault codes would be appreciated. no doubt there is a thread somewhere already covering these issues. thats it for now cheers Dave
