LUIGI-3 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Right not long after i posted some pics of recent bad weather. Now this weekend storm struck again. This time with lot more damage this morning http://jerseyeveningpost.com/news/2014/02/02/the-power-of-sundays-storm-in-pictures/ my favourite pizza place got wrecked :( last night http://jerseyeveningpost.com/news/2014/02/01/victoria-avenue-closed-to-traffic-at-high-tide/ and this is video some lads recorded last night of police officer getting swept away http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMoJuDK0Fd8 its funny and its not if you know what i mean
Gambit Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 PMSL I didn't even see the copper the 1st time until I read the title and looked again. We're still on a warning but I think we will be safe not getting anything like you guy's I know last time I spoke to Adam the other Mod on here was really bad hence why he's not been on as much :(
LUIGI-3 Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 haha feckin quality hahaha :) worth watching couple of times :) there was a statement of Jersey police going around on FB saying how pathetic it was from people to share this vid in order to get extra likes :) it got 41k hits since last night lol- power of internet baby :D i hope Adam will be ok. some damage already caused by this freaking weather. i would rather have some snow :)
Gambit Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Why just because she's in a uniform. I'd have laughed if it had been anyone she wasn't seriously hurt. Then yeah thats different think they need to lighten up and have a laugh :D
Jay762 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I'm sorry but that video is too funny she gets caught right off guard - and I only laugh because its the old thing, no one got hurt
Gambit Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I bet most of the others took the P out of her at the station. Just the normal PC brigade << See what I did there ;)
LUIGI-3 Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 exactly Gambit- cos she is in uniform- they're bit uptight about it cos it happened while they were out guarding roads and someone caught it on camera :) i laughed at about it and so did everyone at my work :) and no she didnt get hurt as per that statement- just bit wet and bruised up. same like after little S&M session
Gambit Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 just bit wet and bruised up. same like after little S&M session You know this. Bit of Pleasure and pain :) 1
BoozyDave Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 I can't believe the floods, it must be terrible for anyone affected by them. I know there were bad floods around Sheffield in 2007, but nothing compared to what's happening at the coast now. I had to watch the vid a couple of times before I saw the copper, funny, but must be scary
wrightsterrrr Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 If she didn't laugh and this is not put on you've been framed then something is wrong :D Keep having snow in wales then rain washes it away. work car park is flooded, best get some waders
Gambit Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 We're getting battered where I live at the minute :(
BlackBosh Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Currently in the south west, it's like Venice down here Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
BoozyDave Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 it's not been too bad up here, it's windy and raining today though there's been a bit of damage in our local area, tiles off, trees down and a couple of lorries. saw on the news earlier about the Thames, hamhaugh island has flooded, one resident 'couldn't believe it', WTF, it's an island in the middle of a big river and you can't believe it has flooded? surely living there (or when looking for a property) they must take into consideration that they are surrounded by a river and it could, possibly, flood one day I wonder if there was this much news coverage down south when Sheffield flooded in 2007, over 25,000 houses were flooded. or in 2010 when the a57 was shut due to snow and people were trapped in their cars for 3 days
bang Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 or in 2010 when the a57 was shut due to snow and people were trapped in their cars for 3 daysincredible :o
bang Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 these days the news of your flood has arrived here in Italy. what are the cities involved? if anyone has had his car completely flooded, you can repair, important not to turn on the engine does not provide power, proceed with disassembly and cleaning.
Jay762 Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 The cleaning is a real problem - I went to view a car once that you could clearly see a tide mark all around the inside - the cleaners had made it shiney but there was still a mark :D
bang Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 You need to take it apart completely to do a good job or you will always have moisture or odors
bang Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 should be removed and throw the wool sound-absorbing material and clean the vents of air conditioning
BlackBosh Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 I remember those incidents, though don't remember how good the coverage was. You're right though if this happens up north no one cares as much and its too far for the pm to travel to get a bit of facetime
