david1972 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Bit of a strange one this..... The label on my drivers door states 205/70/15H (and the car has these boots on currently) but on the tyre websites, when I put my registration in, it always returns 205/70/15T Struggling to understand why websites would suggest a lower speed-rated tyre for me. Is anybody any the wiser?
Mr B Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Some do & technically a 118MPH T rated tyre (12MPH lower than H) is still acceptable & also may open tyre options & lower prices, but can have legal issues with insurance etc so best checked first as you will be surprised what little things can invalidate insurance with some polices & underwriters even though technically no one should really be getting close to even a T rated tyre on UK roads.
