Spotted first problem before I even start. My original has what I'm assuming is the sensor fitted in top of the down pipe. The decay one I have doesn't have any where to fit this :-/ .........

Yep deffo need that hole there,

maybe he's sold you one for a newage wrx ? Not sure where the sensors are on those.

After looking at the wrx diagram on page 1 i'd say youve got the wrong one. They have one before the up pipe and one inbetween the two cats in the centre pipe

Dammit I see what you mean with the wrx being on the second cat rather than the first. This is frustrating now lol.

I've messaged the guy see if he has another but no doubt I won't here back from him.

So I guess my options are buy another or get a hole put in this one... I'm assuming the pipe will be the same length etc

Anybody know what size thread is on the O2 sensor then?

Maybe stick that one on the bay and start again ?

If you'd asked that question the other week i could have given you an answer.

The nut is a 22 mm on the outside.as for the length i'd never assume !

  • 3 weeks later...

it is now fitted :D it is a 3 inch reducing to 2.5 inch, came with the hole in correct place and a blanking nut in, removed that and was a straight fit this time round

so now have cone filter, decat down pipe and magnex back box, the sound is great with the decat pipe, had a few loud pops from it already, louder pops than i had before the decat anyways :)
