Drivers window stopped working on my 2006 impreza 2.5 wrx??

Hi there was driving home yesterday, put my drivers window up, the window seemed to struggle and juddered now there is no power or noise from the motor, all the other windows are working fine? any clues anyone?

 

also have a 2005 impreza 2.0 wrx ppp prodrive for sale in bright red £4995 warranty finance, card payments etc all avaliable

 

any advice would be much appreciated

I would have said maybe come off the runners. But would test the motor if you can't hear it easy enough to get the door cards off as I'm guessing you will know if you have had a Subaru before by the looks of it :D

 

And feel free to post in the sales thread down the forum if you have not done so already ;)

it might just need a bit of penetrating oil on the mechanism, as it is the most used motor it may just have a little too much friction for the motor to deal with.

thats great thankls for your help, there was none of the usual crunching mechanism noises, checked the fusebox and all looks ok, thats the fusebox under steering colum not sure if there any more fuses, also the temp gauge sometimes works sometimes doesnt i seem to recall this on my classic is it just A subaru trait?

also i have the chance of a full de cat exhaust off a 05 2.0 turbo impreza will it fit on my 56 2.5 turbo? many thabnks for all your knowledge. daz


If you are swapping over the complete exhaust system from the turbo back then it should fit. But can depend if it's after market might need a bit of work to make it fit, but should be fine.
