Gambit
Hi mate welcome to S.O.C The standard brakes calipers do tend to seize so I would have said for that reason but seeing as it's from new I'm not to sure but very nice upgrade :) might have had it done with the aim of it being a track build. wild5boy
yes they are a very nice upgrade you can stop it on a sixpence and get ten pence change. but for new front disc's and pads you are talking upwards of £600 plus vat.

wild5boy
is there anyway of finding more out about the cars history?
Gambit
Only by doing those checks I believe. Or if you fancied ringing some old garages up.
Jay762
You could put some STI or standard WRX brakes on then sell the Pro R calipers on to recoup some of the cost.
