iNeoTom Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 cheaper than i imagined was scared thinking £2,000 is that using quality parts garage? Yeah that's using API some of the best :) Give them a call on 01926614333 and ask for David :) They only use multi layer metal head gaskets from the STi 1
Jay762 Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 also try MD in Gloucester, a head skim is also recommended as part of the work http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/5513-m-d-performance-in-gloucester/
Tlag Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 A head skim is essential or the work will need to be done again in a few months. API and MD will know that though. 1
Gambit Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 I'd recommend MD Performance too good bloke shouldn't rip you off either. He's also a member on here http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/user/1155-md-performance/ Is it definetly the HG thats gone. Or are you just pricing one up incase ?

Gambit Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Yeah what I said to you on the phone but worth checking by having the tests done least it's peace of mind. Fingers crossed for you mate.
Gambit Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 I'm sure it will be fine I can understand the concerns. I know he had spent cash on the car and really hope he wouldn't have sold it onto you knowingly with that problem. Even if I still think the airlock should have been sorted before selling the car. But anyway let us know tomorrow mate :)
weeksy Posted March 30, 2014 Author Posted March 30, 2014 fingers crossed ill be able to get it in lol
