wrxweston
I currently have some no make cone filter on my 97 turbo and would like to hear peoples opinions on wether to replace with a decent make cone filter or get a standard airbox and decent panel filter ? It has full turbo back exaust if that makes any difference ..... Cheers
quit
I think panel works better as less heat soak
Gambit
I think it's a bit like the what type of oil does people use really I have a cone and had no problem with it at all but I did pay a bit for it many years ago. and has a case around it with the tube so should stop the heat soak. :)
4758nigel
i personally like the cones but have heard that they can cause problems with your MAF sensor (breaks them quicker etc)
quit
Yeah as there is no inner wing fixing. , ran one in my first classic no problem
Scooby Pete
I ran an HKS mushroom filter on my classic for years with no issues. I did remove the backing plate from the vent on the bonnet to allow for heat dissipation and better cool airflow to the filter.
