beautifulbusso
Well how about this for a spaner in the works!! I put something on FB last night about what happened to the engine and my old mate of 30 years, who I bought the car from called me this morning. Apologised over the engine going pop so has said he will pay for another engine if I find one, I can fit it myself so that's not an issue. Good news but was kinda looking forward to getting a boosted one :)

beautifulbusso
Good news, found an engine which we collect tomorrow ready to be fitted at the weekend :) Also ended up getting very very cheaply the following list. - RB5 alloys with Goodyear tyres for £40 - KYB shocks and standard springs for £50 - Whiteline rear ARB for free - WRX rear diff for £30 It'll all be fitted at the same time :)

beautifulbusso
It's a 22mm bar, from what I've read it's the best mod. :)
quit
Yeah 20-22mm are good ! 24mm if your going extreme Bargain on wheels tho
beautifulbusso
Agreed!! It's a similar upgrade on the GTA with the ARBs. I'll collect the gear at 1pm so will put photos up :)
beautifulbusso
Picked up the bits and the engine :) The engine is spotless, it's just had a rebuild, all painted up etc. looks brand new :) The ARB just needs some paint and it'll be fine!! Shocks all good!! The alloys are actually pretty good, gloss black with a little bit of curbing, tyres mismatched but I'll chuck on some super sports :) All in its been a good day, been offered a WRX Wagon in green for £800 too
