I can't see why there would be a problem doing the swap at all. But I'm sure if there is any problems there is always a work around just the cost of it be cheaper getting a turbo car to start with I think and tune it up from there. :)

Oh ok well then I say do it. I thought you was paying for someone to swap it. Well when you get sorted and someone gives you a yes or a no answer remember we at S.O.C love a heavy picture project thread ;) so keep us updated on the build.

I defo would sell the car .. yeah I know how you feel about it looking so good but your new sti would look much better at the front of the pack .rather than the back you can pick up a clean sti older one of course for not a lot of buck and you will already have a good platform to work with better in the long run but defo do your homework on the car first !!! A good lightweight type ra should do the trick

I've already replied to a very similar thread on here tonight. Lol

I'll give you the same advice. It would be a lot cheaper and easier to start with a turbo car than to do an engine and loom swap in a non turbo.

But if you are determined to use the Shell you already have then it will be a long tedious job stripping out the original loom and laying in the new loom. Physically changing the engine is the easiest part of the whole process. I am part way through helping a friend do a similar project at the moment.

If you are going to do a fully stripped out race prepped car with a cage and flocked dash and such like then you will be removing the entire interior anyway which is half the job.

If you're interested I will be selling my old engine 2.0 wrx turbo. Big end Shell has gone so will need them doing but apart from that it's had new pistons and uprated rings. Both heads been skimmed. It had done 69 miles then threw the big end bearings. Let me know if tour interested.
