This still has the factory standard HID's in too.

Thats very clean. I think the wagon shape looks odd without any rear spoilers.

Rattling Heat Shield
If you heat wrap it I would recommend some titanium heat wrap. It is more expensive, but the cheaper stuff goes brittle and flakes off after a while.

Need a reversing camera.
Lol, I've just responded to you on another forum.

brake master cylinder stoppers
Mechanically all it does is counter the affect of the flexing bulkhead. So when pressing the brake pedal, the point at which the pedal stops and you are fully on the brakes is higher up. (if that makes sense). It gives a better feel but doesn't reduce the stopping distance.

brake master cylinder stoppers
I've Just found a picture of mine after painting and fitting. It is the Tegiwa item but the bright blue would have looked a bit out of place in my engine bay so I painted it matt black before fitting. It's also a bit of pain to fit in the twin turbo's due to the solenoid box you can see on the left. I had to cut away some of the case and file it to the profile of the brake stopper to give a neat finish.

brake master cylinder stoppers
This was one of the first mods I did to improve the brakes on my Legacy. It made a noticeable difference to the feel on the brake pedal, however, it didn't make any difference to the braking ability. The braided lines again made a small difference to the feel of the brakes. But the biggest difference was when I changed the brake servo and master cylinder. I bought these from a Hawkeye Impreza STI. This almost completely removed the spongy feel on the pedal and really increases confidence in the braking ability.

Tinted windows
Oh yeah, I also have a reversing camera. That helps with precision manoeuvres. :)

a few pics of my project so far
If your 5 speed is a 754 box then it'll handle 330bhp no problem.

Tinted windows
Mine is the legal limit on the fronts and I think it's 70% round the back. This was particularly difficult to reverse at night until I replaced my reverse bulbs with Cree bulbs. This makes life so much easier. :)

Competition Time
Yes it is the Pegasus Bridge. There is a small cafe right next to it where we stopped for coffee and a sandwich. While sat there we were lucky enough to see it in action. :) Yeah thats the trip we were on when Fifth Gear were looking for a Legacy unfortunately, but we have the wrong generation, So we wouldn't have been much help anyway.

Competition Time
It was a very educational trip and I didn't realise the scale of it all until I did this trip. If any of you are interested in learning more about the war then I highly recommend visiting all the D-day war memorial sites. It really was an eye opener for me.

I know none of these are eligible for the competition but here is a pic of my car on a trip I did with some friends recently, who also own Legacy's, whereby we visited a lot of the D-day war memorial sites in France. Here are some pics of the memorial sites we visited.- Starting problem
I agree it might be a battery on its way out. When stationary at night can you see your lights getting brighter and dimmer with the rpm if you rev it? Might also be worth buying or making an earthing kit to improve the cars electrical system. I don't know about such a new leggy but they definitely improve things on the older generations.- WRX fluctuating idle (mainly highish)
Any local members to you who might let you borrow a recirc for half an hour?- WRX fluctuating idle (mainly highish)
If you still have your original recirc then it might be an idea to refit that just to see if that improves things. If not then you have at least ruled it out.- WRX fluctuating idle (mainly highish)
Do you have a dump valve? These can sometimes cause idle issues. With the engine running have a a listen around the induction side post MAF and around the BOV/recirc for a noise like air escaping. It could be something as simple as a split somewhere allowing air in after the MAF which would definitely cause idle issues.- CEL comes on but goes off again???
Yes you can check the codes without the light being on permanently. It's will give you any and all stored codes. Make a note of any codes you get then reset the ECU. Go for a drive and see if the CEL comes back. Check the codes again and you will know what's up with it. The reason I say do all this is because if you have old stored codes from previous problems that have since been fixed you could end up chasing a problem that no longer exists.- coilovers pro and cons ?
I would recommend MeisterR's I have a set of their Zeta-R's on my Legacy, they are fully adjustable, very easy to work with, great value for money at around £750 and I've never heard a bad word about them. No matter what coilovers you buy be sure to spray them with some white lithium grease every 6months just to stop them seizing. - Competition Time
