June 28, 201411 yr I'm looking at putting a bigger scoop onto my 02 wrx. Would one off of a classic or off a blob eye fit it?? Or are they all different fitting??
June 28, 201411 yr I will need to double check but I think the blobeye is a bit bigger. It looks it anyway :)
June 28, 201411 yr the bug and blob are the same foot print, i think the wrx's are the same size, but the blob sti is bigger than the bug sti
June 28, 201411 yr I will have a look tomorrow the groove in the bonnet looks bigger to me around the base of the scoop looking at them side by side :)
June 28, 201411 yr I think if you want a bigger scoop you can just go STI...but is there a reason? Not really worth it I wouldn't have thought unless going bigger intercooler, upgraded fuel pump, improved air intake, remap blah blah
June 28, 201411 yr I'm struggling to find one that comes with the under hood stuff. I've got my STI intercooler coming on monday but not going to be that much better without the proper cooling. I don't like the Blob scoop, just doesn't do it for me. Prefer the Bug and would be better seeing as I have a bug lol.
June 28, 201411 yr It's mad how big they look side by side I will see if I can take a picture of the two in the garage tomorrow the Blobeye looks bigger at the bottom. :)
June 29, 201411 yr Think it's a screwdriver holding the grill in place when test fitting it ;) I guess it looks bigger the Blobeye with it being a bit more of a lip at the front :) Bugeyes scoop Blobeye scoop
