david1972 Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 I suspect it may be chain driven, but would be good if an owner could confirm this :)

Brom Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Hi all, I'm a Subaru Owners club virgin :D,i've just joined as it happens. To answer the question about the 3.0 Outback, they are chain driven,!Removed! good engines as well !! No cambelt to worry bout. I've owned 4 over the past 10 years, and ForestersTtribeca's and i'm back to a 2003 -3.0 H6 model after selling my Tribeca last year due to redundancy/retirement. Hope that helps the asker of the question, Hi to all, and i'm looking forward to joining in other conversations ;) 1
