Hi all I'm Adam,

I live in sunny Essex had an RS2000 4x4 a few years back and loved it and have decided to get a proper 4x4 this time

Hi mate welcome to S.O.C

Car sounds good love to see some pictures. And always liked the Escort not had a RS2000 best I got to drive was a G reg Xr3i when I was still at school

And my 1st car was an escort 1.6 :)

Welcome to the club, hope you enjoy the new car. Only thing I would say is although Cat D are usually no problem as it just means the car was in the insurance eyes more expensive to repair than writeoff, often this can be cosmetic and just brand new Subaru parts are too expensive so someone did it themselves sourcing older wings and such. The only problem comes on reselling as people don't know what happens and it kills the resale value, I had a motorbike that due to Cat D I wasn't aware of lost half of it's value when trying to sell it just because of that.

Good luck with it, if you are keeping the car and not worried about resale then Cat D are 99% of the time no problems.

So I now have my lovely Ruby at home after a tense few hours tues. I've gone through the paperwork and it seems that the mods are sensible. She has had a service between 1k and 3k every year and a few bits changed along the way. As far as I can tell they are as follows

Superflex front wishbone rear/front inner bush/anti roll bar bushes-2010

Ninja down pipe with fast flow cat-2008

Afterburner de cat section-2008

Race box performance silencer-2008

HID headlights-2008

Koni suspension all round-2008

Forester air con-2005 (I don't get this one)

It confuses me because I have a Dutch sticker on the rear window and Dutch Subaru booklet. I checked the VIN as it had a different number plate on some of the paperwork so wanted to make sure the VIN on the car was the same and then went online and I'm a little confused as to what the car is. I went on a few sites and it appears to be a WRX if I'm reading it correctly but all paperwork states 2000 Turbo AWD.

Anyways regardless of that she drives superbly and I'm loving having a 4x4 again .
