July 31, 201411 yr Hey all, New to the scene of the Subaru world, had my 55 blob eye wrx for 3 weeks now and love it. Got some plans in mind for it but I'm struggling to work out if it is a genuine WRX 300 or if it's just been mod'd after market to look like one, if anyone has any handy tips on how to confirm this would be much appreciated. July 31, 201411 yr Wotcha and welcome - nice looking motor you have there - if I was you I would ring Subaru directly with the vin number get it from the horses mouth, they might even be able to generate a certificate for you?
July 31, 201411 yr Author Cheers jay762 will give them a ring in the morning and find out. Yea seats are mint. Had an audi a4 previous and I thought that was comfy ha. I'm not going to lie I had no idea it had a prodrive kit in it before I bought it, I was happy enough just to get a standard WRX.
August 1, 201411 yr Hi mate welcome to S.O.C, I can say it's not a uk300 spoilers the 1st thing to give it away, but looks damn fine and if you're happy with it thats the main thing above all else :D I'd keep it the way it is maybe change the rear spoiler but thats me :)
August 1, 201411 yr Author Hey, that's what I thought at first Gambit. So I just had a phone call back from Subaru, turns out it IS a WRX300 and it's even no 77. I'm going to order the replica certificate as I don't have original. Good news all round then :)
August 1, 201411 yr It's an interesting one...someone has gone to a lot of effort if it's not, seats, plaques etc. I'd do as Jay said and phone. Would make no difference to me as it's a really nice car...just be interesting to know [emoji4]
