Hey guys just curious to see what cambelts you guys run on what power.
My car is broken at the moment i.e bottom end gone so its getting rebuilt and not sure what belt to go with.

im running standard power at the moment with a Kevlar cosworth belt  but want to accommodate for approx 300hp

 

 

I'm running a gates kevlar timing belt with new rollers and early hydraulic tensioner, with the intention of running just over 400hp (eventually lol)

300 hp should be fine with a standard belt .

It's generally the rollers or tensioner that fails rather than the belts themselves , as people tend to overtighten the bolts

Agree as long as you replace all the rollers and the tensioner at the same time as the belt you shouldn't have any problems.

Ok thanks guys I may just go for a gates belt rather than doing 150+ on just a belt :)

Where is the best place to buy a gates belt ?

I got mine from importcarparts but, if your buying a few bit's, your better of phoning them as they'll normally knock a bit off for bulk orders
