savage bulldogs
I think ecutek is about the cheapest option for mapping your standard ecu did the previous owner give you any paperwork for a ecutek licence? as finding out if its been mapped would be a good first step and if it hasn't been mapped search for some costings of mobile or local mappers. id eco getting it on a dyno somewhere ( preferably where they know their scoobies) as they might be able to diagnose or fix any minor issues while giving it a health check as for dump valves some people like them some don't most seem to work fine when mapped in (un metered air is accounted for) but some brands/types cause issues when un mapped im running a baileys with a upgraded spring (so get a bit of chatter on low boost) it's been mapped in and it works fine but personally ive always thought that throwing boost away by venting it to air didn't make as much sense as putting the boost back into the intake tract however ive found no proof that either vta or recirc perform better so think its just down to personal preference like most mods imo
