Hi, i just had a forester key go down, so i changed the battery. but it still not working, does it need re-coding or is there something else?

hi guys, i've a 2012 version of the the diesel forester. i was washing it the other day, as i work in a quarry, and it gets destroyed regularly, and noticed that there's no screen or filter on the air scoop in the bonnet. is this normal, or is something thats gone missing, and i'm only noticing it now? is it something i should look into as there's often a lot of water splashed up on the car, lashing around in conditions like the quarry, which i'll admit, is hard not to do as its such fun!

hi, i'm a relatively new subaru convert, having had only 2 foresters over the last couple of years, and so need a little advice. i damaged a tyre, beyond repair, and as the rest are at about 50%-60% wore, i was looking for advice, about this. this is where i feel like its a stupid question, but i've heard that uneven tyres can be a problem with AWD's, and wanted to know if replacing one, or even two was ok, or is it a 4 tyre at once situation? i have one other tyre, with a bit of wear, on the rear nearside, that i could change , but as i say, trying to avoid changing all four if possible, unless necessary. appreciate your help, ed

Hi, i'm a new subaru owner, and have a diesel forester, 2010. i have ablue temp light showing after i start. i'm waiting until the heater light goes out, and a bit more, which is what the book said it should be, but it still keeps happening. it doesn;t stay on for long, maybe a minute or two, any ideas?

hey gambit, this is an old one my father is often heard repeating,- 'anything with !Removed! or tyres will cause nothing but trouble!!' never a truer word eh??!!

thanks for the welcome guys, much appreciated! i had a great experience on another Ik forum with my last car, a nissan navara. so it was the first thing on my to do list as i learn the subaru ropes, to join up on a uk forum, where, (and i mean this as a compliment), there are loads of car geeks, who care about their cars, and KNOW about them! i know most here are petrol heads, and i'm only a diesel dunkey, (I mean donkey), but i'll still have a couple of things i'm sure you'll be able to help with if I'm stuck. thanks again for the welcome,

Hi, a subaru newbie here, just bought my first!! i've always wanted a forester, and found a 2010 XS boxer diesel not too far from home, FSH, and traded my old navara, and I'm delighted. its exactly what i wanted, and goes like stink!! we 've a littlun, only 11 months, and with the usual gear that goes everywhere, its brilliant. and compared to my old navara, the fuel economy is fantastic. is there anything to watch out for either in maintenance or weaknesses? i see the clutch is a bit different already, but is it a good clutch, just different, or something else? anyway, i hope i don't have too many newbie questions you've all heard before!! thanks, Ed
