Hi, Has anyone with an OEM spare wheel tried fitting it on the front and does it fit? My car didn't come with a spare wheel and I bought one from the internet (Subaru space saver) that was advertised it fits the XV. Although it fits fine on the rear, it doesn't clear the caliper the front. I am wondering if the wheel I was supplied wasn't specifically for the XV but another Subaru model. Thanks.

I am not convinced, mostly good reviews and a few bad including a Subaru Forester. Possibly best to leave the car standard.

Where did you have the remap done?

That's great work Dug. Isn't the fitting socket though a standard size? What bulb did you use to replace the halogen one of your DRLs? On a similar note, has anyone fitted these successfully? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/193285324964?ul_noapp=true The reason I am asking is that I have bought a set myself but the DRLs aren't working (the fog lights are working fine). I am investigating this with the help of IM at the moment and will keep you updated, just wondering if anyone has fitted them and if so if they had to do any modifications to make them work.

Thanks although this doesn't work with the rubber mats fitted as the rubber mats don't have a hole that goes all the way through the mats, I'll have to take a pic to show what I mean. I'd like to see a pic of the OEM rubber mats fitted with brackets.

I've got the same. Where did you attach the bracket that holds the driver's mat in place? I haven't managed to find where to fit it as it goes upside down on the rubber mats (as opposed to the fabric ones). Thanks!

Thanks. I am aware of the bottom end issues 2008 diesel engines used to suffer but I've read the internals have been upgraded since then. Yes, due to the mileage I do I am looking for a diesel.

Hi everyone, I am looking at replacing my daily Abarth 500 with a family car and one of the potential candidates is a Subaru XV. I am familiar with Subarus having owned a WRX wagon, a couple of Forester STis in the past and my other car is an Impreza 20th anniversary but I have never owned a diesel Subaru. Is there anything I should be aware of and what are the common faults (if any) or things to check before buying a XV? Many thanks!
