  1. Haha no that feeling sadly too. I'd have said breaking it but does mean having the space to do it. But much prefer seeing a build thread started ; )
  2. I had a similar problem. I use one of the other pins to push the old one out with a few heavy taps, it did bend one though and much swearing later I got it out. Luckily had a new set sat in the garage so was ok to replace them both in the end but agree just taking them out the grease them does no harm
  3. Think FB Tuning is the local garage to you might be worth having a word with them first see what quote they can give if any. I know most will want to check the car first. But I did get a quote when I had mine rebuilt, didn't need it I just wanted to get it done. started at £2200 ended up being £2998 or something like that but that was over 10 years now so be abit more expensive now.
  4. I've cleaned mine before same way but only did the faces each side and the metal around it :( if it was a sensor should get a cel light on. I'd check the pipe work is nice and tight and that the Y pipe is secure on might be taking in air.
  5. Oh shame that Bit of a long shot have you had a word with Scoobyworld might have a customer selling their car. When I was there before I see a car for sale that they was working on never know :)
  6. I'd say rebuild is always the best way to go but I appreciate not cheap and isn't always possible for some. 2nd hand engines clearly come as a risk too but will be the cheapest option. If you rebuild are you doing it yourself or have a specialist do the work as that will cost the most with labour.
  7. Hi mate welcome back to the Subaru family Any picture feel free to get them posted up we do like our pictures on here, just the way I like my books

  9. Hi mate welcome to S.O.C I see you've got stuck straight in on the forum
  10. Hi mate welcome to S.O.C If you want to ask in the XV section of the forum will be best bet mate. For some reason a lot of the members don't come in to this section to say Hi as most of the time it's people just coming on and saying stuff like "Hi my names keith, and I'm in to polythene bags" But great bunch on here so don't be afraid to ask away even if you feel it's a stupid question.
  11. Thanks feel free to do a review once you have used them
  12. we're on flood warning here too over the night
  13. Hi mate welcome to S.O.C Feel free to have a look in the XV section of the forum and ask any questions in there like Rizmo we have a few members that will all give you good advice :)
  14. can't understand why people get a car like that and not look after it. My missus said she would leave me to own a WR1 she loves them lol. the one with the highmilage has it had a rebuild before ? might be high milage showing but only really be lowish.
  15. Wow thats high milage for that car to be honest. Nice cars but that would probably put me off if I wasn't planning on a rebuild soon.
  16. @stants work's for me on pc and mobile mate.
  17. Someone asked a few years ago. It was mixed reviews then if I remember right some said avoid it. And few said they was OK. I do remember one of them saying they was aggressive though. Not much help I know but think.id stay away myself.
  18. @AlexFilms OK mate will let you know :)
  19. I'll see if I can get hold of them for you to meet up mate. Might be more going but just what I've seen think ChrisD from Doncaster is going to. I might go yet just not sure lol.
  20. Showing as stants to me. I'll keep checking your name lol.
