  1. Hi mate welcome to S.O.C and car looks nice from the profile picture :) Do you mean the struts to lift the WRX spoiler you have on now? I'm not a fan myself but depends what look you want I guess :) But I think the STI one is better looking myself :D Just had a quick look I can't seem to find any myself now :D will have another look for you tomorrow mate
  2. www.scoobybits.co.uk based in Rotherham bit of a treck but I'm sure we get a club discount there. Not sure if it will cover service but worth asking Richard Henry Autos In Bradford are meant to be good and highly spoken about Address:Unit 5 Bowling Park Close Bradford West Yorkshire BD4 7HG 01274 732 508 Fax: 01274 732 508 http://www.richardhenrymotorsport.co.uk Save to Mobile These are also good in Halifax http://www.trldevelopments.co.uk/index.php
  3. Agreed I would say it was to open the boot from the outside. if it's not is there any chance of a wide angle shot of the under side that's you have taken that picture :D And welcome to the forums :) your car looks very tidy.
  4. I blame the EU with 99% Bull !Removed! they come out with. :D
  5. In short a coil pack is the part that supplies spark to the spark plugs. you have a new age same as me so there a single unit that goes onto the 4 plugs, but I'm sure if it was there would be a misfire code, if I'm not mistaken. have you had a compression test done ? just trying to think of things it could be you seem to have done everything that makes sense to change :(
  6. Only other thing's I can think is clean the boost solenoid, and check the sparkplugs. There is the coilpacks too but would have thought you would get a code from them with a misfire. But I could be wrong. Not sure if anyone else could have a better answer or not. And sorry to hear about the ECU not working :(
  7. Sounds best bet what I would do ;) And at least you're safe in the knowledge that the injectors are clean :D
  8. Looks clean and tidy mate. I'd be telling the trouble and strife to get packing her bags :D But best of luck with the sale mate. Should sell well by the looks of her :)
  9. They can already fail for being to loud that is down to the MOT tester on the day if he feels it's to loud at the min. I would say mine is loud enough to fail. But I know him so he turns a blind eye as long as it's not dangerous :)
  10. My old man had a Granada Scorpio it was a dark green metallic colour. he also had the Ford Probe 2.5ltr too both was pretty quick. Ford man if you couldn't tell :) And I never got to drive a GTE either just always wanted one as a kid :D
  11. Not sure it will help to be fair. you can hear mine outside the car or inside with the windows up but I guess it depends on how loud it is mine is noticeable but wouldn't say loud. :)
  12. won't do any harm worth trying 1st :) It's what I would do anyway.
  13. :( should be fine as long as all the other bolts are tight and holding it in place. I would say like myself you will worry about it now because you know about it :D And was you giving the car a bit of a boot to errrm clean the injector's. Yep go with that :) and then you get the tinny sound ? If you was shouldn't worry about it should go back to normal sound after a minute or 2 of normal driving mine does it. But if its all the time like you said might be worth getting it on the ramps again and having a good look at it :( And as for the bolt I'm not sure strange that it does that when it's been put in. I would say it's forcing it past what the pipe wants to be so when driving it and getting warm and expanding is maybe the course but is pure guess.
  14. I think you would need to go back to the OEM to get the sound back mate. But would have thought you would get more power out of the one fitted now. :(
  15. Astra GTE :D or any Escort RS's :D Did see a really great clean XR2 driving around town. I did think wow when I see it but was shocked to think how square it looked from the pictures I still had in my head as a kid :D
  16. Welcome back mate :) looking good I like it. One thing I have to ask what's with the smiley faces on the bumper I wanted to ask before but forgot :D
  17. Woop-Woop well massive Congratulations on the wedding day to Hails And full Kudos to you for taking the time and putting the car forward. This is one of the reason I like...No love that I own a Subaru the community it brings :) Well I hope they had a fantastic day. Just hope her husband has a Subaru :)
  18. Hi mate welcome to S.O.C Is it maybe to long I can't really think why it would do it. I take it since you have removed it it's stopped ? I would maybe then just put it in for MOT time :D
  19. Put it down to old age ;) And for some reason I don't believe you when you say you have slowed down either :D
  20. Haha well I shouldn't worry about it, unless you was going to be driving down the runway from Fast And The Furious 6 I don't really have an answer to this either. Might be the air flow through the bonnet scoop is not enough at that speed for along period of time to keep everything cool. But I doubt running any car for long enough at 140mph would do it any good :D
  21. Well I think you have done a great job so far mate, and hope you keep on the road a lot longer then most :) can see you have spent time with the car and money too and I can tell it's a head turner :D As for the RS I don't know so much now I was driving an Xr3I at 15. Long story but I have sold on Subaru now :D
  22. Yeah there should be mate I've locked the garage up now other wise I would go check as there is a 55 plate sat in the garage. And HOW MUCH!!! Take it anywhere else that's a rip off I could get a flywheel new clutch and have it fitted and still have change for a beer or two with what they have told you. I would laugh at them and ask if there fitting a full stage 1 set up.
  23. I put 40 PSI in normally but have Nitro in at the minute from when I had all four tyres replaced just after Christmas. I think that's what's called being on the naughty list as all four failed on it's MOT and I had been driving around 3 month's with no test on it without even thinking haha
