Hi guys! Help would be greatly appreciated here, am looking at a JDM STI hatch back for sale. Car is beautiful and loads of history from Japan and UK. Car has a really consistent tick at idle, I think it could be the lifters, I've been told by the dealer + past owner that the car has sat for about 3 months and prior to that was barely driven. Ive asked for an oil change to see if that helps with the noise as I think the oil may have degraded over time and hasn't been regularly pumped around! Does anyone have any advice/think it is anything different! Cheers Nick

Hi all, Recently bought a triple gauge pod for the A pillar trim, however the sigma sensors are in the way. I bought the car from a dealer and wasn't told about the alarm system and had no alarm fobs with it... My question now is, can I cut the sensor wire, then re solder it once its fitted to the new gauge pod or am I completely f*****? Completely understand if no one wants to go into disabling the alarm on the thread but if anyone can shoot me a DM about it, would be greatly appreciated.

Quite tight yeh, slight raise in kerb - at first I thought it could be the LSD kicking in a bit as a wheel raises but there is no hop what so ever, apart from the mornings and only while reversing full lock?! Could if be the diff fluid not at operating temps first thing in the morning?

I thought it might have been the tyres at first, but I had 4 brand new tyres put on and hasn't made any difference. I only really get it in the morning as well!

Hi all, I'm getting a weird sound/jolt which I can only really compare to wheel hop when reversing and turning left or right very slowly + being almost full lock on the wheel. I don't really have any ideas what could be causing it but any suggestions of where to start would be awesome. Car in question is a 2012 Subaru STI sedan! Cheers

Just had a quick look around: I believe its a DE3175 festoon bulb 31mm. Pulled from a car lighting page!

Are you talking about the map lights and dome light? If so you can pop the plastic trim that covers it, and just have a quick look for comparison. I replaced mine last week with 31mm LED interior units. Something like this: https://autobeam.co.uk/collections/led-interior/products/led-269-interior-unit-31mm?variant=32379536638088 Boot light was a T10 LED. This is for a wrx, but I imagine they are very similar! Pull the trim and measure bulb out that you want to replace! Unless I'm way off here £109 seems unbelievably steep for a couple LEDs and around 2 minutes of work.

Hi guys, Want to start it off by saying car is showing no signs of power loss and oil levels are okay! Decided to have a little pry around engine bay and found quite a lot of oil stained on the turbo, I'm thinking of installing a catch can and replace the hoses but just wanted to see what you guys thought! Any catch can recommendations would be super helpful. Cheers

Check inside fuel cap! Should have rating in there, mines minimum 97 ron! I baby the car so it always gets shell V power, and like Jay said, the marketing of the cleaners give me a little bit of piece of mind! Whether or not they actually work is a different story! I'd steer clear of the E10 fuels don't want that rubbish sitting in your tank!
